ALL MEASUREMENTS, CALCULATIONS, VOLTAGE DROP ESTIMATES, CABLE SIZING RECOMMENDATIONS, AND COMPLIANCE CHECKS PROVIDED BY THIS TOOL ARE ESTIMATES AND GUIDELINES ONLY. THEY DO NOT CONSTITUTE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING ADVICE OR CERTIFICATION OF COMPLIANCE WITH ANY STANDARD OR REGULATION.
ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTION WORK MUST BE DESIGNED, VERIFIED, AND COMPLETED BY APPROPRIATELY LICENSED AND ACCREDITED ASP LEVEL 2 CONTRACTORS OR ELECTRICIANS IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE STANDARDS, REGULATIONS, AND DISTRIBUTION NETWORK SERVICE PROVIDER (DNSP) REQUIREMENTS.
YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR INDEPENDENTLY VERIFYING ALL CALCULATIONS, MEASUREMENTS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS PRODUCED BY THIS TOOL BEFORE RELYING ON THEM IN ANY WAY.
By accessing or using MAINS (the “Service”, “Tool”, or “Platform”), whether via the website, application, or any associated services, you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”), together with any policies or documents incorporated by reference, including our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you must not access or use the Service. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

MAINS is a software tool designed to assist ASP Level 2 accredited electricians and electrical contractors in Australia with the design, estimation, and quoting of electrical connection work. The Service may include, but is not limited to, the following features:
The Service is a design aid and estimating tool only. It does not provide professional engineering services, certified designs, or compliance certification. The outputs of the Tool are intended solely as a starting point for further professional assessment and verification by qualified and accredited persons.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements set out above, and that all information you provide in relation to your accreditation and licensing status is true, current, and accurate. We reserve the right to request evidence of your accreditation or licensing at any time, and to suspend or terminate your access if satisfactory evidence is not provided.
The Service is not intended for use by consumers, unlicensed persons, or any person who is not a qualified electrical professional. If you do not meet these eligibility requirements, you must not use the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that we reasonably believe has been compromised, is being used in breach of these Terms, or has been inactive for an extended period.

All intellectual property rights in and to the Service, including but not limited to the software, algorithms, user interface, design, graphics, text, data compilations, and documentation, are owned by or licensed to AppHouse Pty Ltd and are protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Service or its intellectual property beyond a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
You retain ownership of the data you input into the Service, including project details, customer information, and measurement data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
The MAINS name, logo, and associated branding are trademarks of AppHouse Pty Ltd. You may not use these marks without our prior written consent.

THE SERVICE IS A SOFTWARE TOOL AND DESIGN AID ONLY. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE, AND IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR, PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING DESIGN, ASSESSMENT, ADVICE, OR CERTIFICATION. THE SERVICE DOES NOT PROVIDE CERTIFIED ELECTRICAL DESIGNS AND DOES NOT CERTIFY COMPLIANCE WITH ANY STANDARD, CODE, REGULATION, OR REQUIREMENT.
ALL MEASUREMENTS, CALCULATIONS, VOLTAGE DROP ESTIMATES, CABLE SIZING RECOMMENDATIONS, MATERIAL SUGGESTIONS, AND COMPLIANCE GUIDANCE PROVIDED BY THE TOOL ARE ESTIMATES AND APPROXIMATIONS ONLY. THEY ARE PROVIDED AS A STARTING POINT FOR PROFESSIONAL ASSESSMENT AND MUST NOT BE RELIED UPON WITHOUT INDEPENDENT VERIFICATION BY AN APPROPRIATELY QUALIFIED AND ACCREDITED PERSON.
Without limiting the generality of the above, you acknowledge and agree that:

WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, COMPLETENESS, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that:
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement. To the extent that our liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited, at our option, to the re-supply of the Service or the payment of the cost of having the Service re-supplied.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL APPHOUSE PTY LTD, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, OR AFFILIATES (COLLECTIVELY, THE “MAINS PARTIES”) BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY:
THIS LIMITATION APPLIES WHETHER THE CLAIM IS BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT THE MAINS PARTIES HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN ANY EVENT, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF THE MAINS PARTIES FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS (AUD $100.00).
You acknowledge and accept that electrical work is inherently dangerous and that improper design, installation, or maintenance of electrical systems can result in serious property damage, personal injury, or death. By using the Service, you expressly assume all risks associated with your use of the Tool’s outputs and your reliance on any information, calculation, or recommendation provided by the Service.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the MAINS Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees and disbursements) arising out of or in connection with:

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any third-party data or services. Third-party services may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice to you.
We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy or currency of third-party data, including property boundary data, satellite imagery, or any other geospatial information. Such data is provided for general reference purposes only and must not be relied upon as a substitute for a professional survey or site inspection.
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, storage, and disclosure of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
By using the Service, you consent to the collection and processing of your data as described in our Privacy Policy. You acknowledge that certain data you input into the Service (including project addresses, customer details, and measurement data) may be processed and stored on servers located in Australia or overseas.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have obtained all necessary consents from your clients and customers before inputting their personal information into the Service, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
We may collect anonymised and aggregated usage data for the purpose of improving the Service, conducting analytics, and developing new features. Such data will not identify you or any individual.
The Service is currently offered as a free beta. During the beta period, access to the Service is provided at no charge, and features, functionality, and availability may change without notice.
We reserve the right to introduce paid subscription plans, usage fees, or other pricing structures at any time following the conclusion of the beta period. We will provide reasonable notice of any pricing changes before they take effect. Any fees will be stated in Australian dollars and are exclusive of GST unless otherwise indicated.
We may offer different tiers of service with varying features and pricing. Details of paid plans, including billing cycles, payment methods, and cancellation policies, will be published separately and incorporated into these Terms when applicable.
Access to the free beta does not create any entitlement to continued free access or to any particular level of service, features, or functionality.
We reserve the right to modify, amend, or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page and, where practicable, provide notice via the Service (such as a banner notification or email to the address associated with your account).
It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, at our sole discretion. Without limiting the foregoing, we may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe that:

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia, and the Federal Court of Australia, and any courts of appeal from those courts, for the resolution of any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service.
Before commencing any legal proceedings, the parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith through negotiation. If the dispute is not resolved within thirty (30) days, either party may commence proceedings.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies or documents expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed from these Terms to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. A waiver of any right or provision shall only be effective if made in writing and signed by an authorised representative.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms, or any rights or obligations under these Terms, without restriction.
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms to the extent that such failure or delay is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, power outages, internet disruptions, or acts of third parties.
